Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
