Liverpool's Star Issues Statement to Liverpool Dressing Room, Discloses Curtis Jones

The Liverpool midfielder has revealed that the Egyptian forward said sorry to the team following the uproar from his televised remarks.

What Happened

Salah was left out from a key Champions League match following making accusations and claiming his rapport with Arne Slot had deteriorated.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I'm sorry.’”

The head coach has refused to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the player.

He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “He was his usual self, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” Jones added.

He also noted that a teammate fighting for a place is preferable. “I get that there are different methods you can express yourself,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s more of an issue.”

The team's performance have stayed unbeaten in the period after the interview fallout. The player is convinced the forward's comments were not designed to destabilise the squad.
