A Meteoric Rise From The Academy

He progressed to the reserve side and it was in a friendly match in which they played against the academy's first team, then coached by the former defender, where the youngster is said to have drawn the eye of the current Real boss, who replaced the previous coach in January.

Spanish media would later describe the moment as "an instant connection," adding he stood out not only for his technical ability, but for the energy, personality and drive he brought to the team.

'His Greatest Quality Is His Character'

During the pre-season of 2025, former boss Alonso invited Pitarch to practice with the senior squad and awarded him minutes during the warm-up matches.

However, it was the change in manager that became the turning point in his development as he came on as a second-half replacement in both ties against Benfica that set up the clash with Manchester City.

"I realize fans might be surprised to watch him make his debut in a European fixture, but he's playing because I had total trust in him to do his normal game.
